In The Heights

I had a fabulous night at the theater with a darling friend. Our husbands were busy watching football and we went to see In The Heights. It was so fun. The music was fun and vibrant. There were raps and salsa numbers interspersed with hip hop. I have always enjoyed musicals but I think I love them more all the time. The dancing was energetic and fresh and the story line was light and humorous. In The Heights is the story of a neighborhood of mostly Latino immigrants and their daily struggles to find employment, relationships and happiness without abandoning their roots. Aside from one very flat soprano it was a fabulous show.
