July 4th

Today we did the small town parade and fair. We painted faces and had
 our sun screen on.

Then we watched fireworks from the boat. A fun holiday.

May The 4th Be With You

Yoda Soda
The girls are currently very into Star Wars. This is kind of funny because Two Fish and I had never really been into Star Wars. I watched the movies once as a teenager and Scott watched two of them for the first time with the girls. But we decided to embrace their current fascination and celebrate Star Wars Day. We went all out with a special dinner and decorations. The girls loved it.

St. Patrick's Day

I crack myself up every year that we celebrate this non-holiday. I used to mock so much of this over-celebratory craziness yet here I am celebrating every single thing that even hints that it is a holiday. Hypocrisy is fun sometimes. There was no time for a leprechaun trap this year. Too many balls in the air. So the girls decided to use some of their doll house furniture to make a cozy little home for a leprechaun. They hoped that he would like it so much that he would stay. Unfortunately he had place to be so he left his suit for them to iron and a fun breakfast.  He left gold coins of course.

Mimi's Birthday

We threw Mimi a surprise birthday party after skiing today. We did it at her house because she is having a hard time leaving the house.  Mimi has been dealing with some serious health problems so these milestones and moments together are extra tender right now.

New Years, Grandma's Birthday and Art

Skiing a black diamond with Pop Pops (easy resort meant that this was not equivalent to the black diamonds at the resort they normally ski at but it was a huge confidence boost. )
New Years at the Lake House. Movies, board games, puzzles, sledding and sparkling cider at midnight (also known at 9:00pm.) My kids favorite part is running around outside with pots and pans.

Always with the babies.
We had a birthday party for Grandma (Scott's mom) with the O family. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful mother in law and for my kids to live close to her.

I always love to capture some of the drawings that my kids have been doing. These were favorites.

Snow Day With Cousins

Two Fish's brother M came into town after Christmas and we had some family fun sledding in the snow. Today was a good day. There is nothing better than flying down the hill with family.

I love this picture. It is a new favorite.
Exchanging Christmas gifts with cousins.
