Timp

Beautiful hike today to Timpanogos cave with my brother J and his family.

Gotta get that junior ranger patch.
Went to our first movie in the theater with the reclining seats with my nephew E. He has been working with me and hanging out with us a bit this summer. We are loving having him around.

July 4th

Today we did the small town parade and fair. We painted faces and had
 our sun screen on.

Then we watched fireworks from the boat. A fun holiday.

July Third

We started today with my little nephew R's baptism. Then we headed up to the Lake House for our Fourth of July, small town festivities. We started with some painting projects and shaving cream marbling with liquid watercolor.

Mandatory Bonding

We have been campaigning for little Noodle's love for the past year and a half. She isn't our biggest fans even though we are crazy about her. So we have sentenced her to mandatory bonding sessions and went and brought her to our house for a few hours. I think it might be working.

Playing Pie Face

I spent a whole day searching for a store that had the Pie Face game in stock for my mom for Mother's Day because I knew she would love the game. I had no luck. Then I showed up for the family weekend at the Lake House only to discover that she had bought it for herself. This game is hilarious.

Reptiles & Cousins

My brother J wanted to take all of the little cousins to a reptile zoo. My kids were very excited, especially Red Fish who adores reptiles, spiders and everything that freaks me out. Unfortunately J needed more car seats and I had to attend with my kids. Yuck. Good thing they are so much braver than I am. Red Fish wanted to hold every snake, lizard, crocodile and tarantula. New Fish tolerated being near the reptiles. I screamed when a snake looked in my direction. Gives me the shivers just thinking about it.

After we finished with the reptiles, Nixie and Doodle spent the rest of the day at our house. The kids had a big water balloon fight, played on the swingset, hula hooped and picnicked all afternoon. It is so fun to watch this little crew play together. They love each other so much and they have such a good time together.

E's Recital

My very talented Niece E gave a senior recital. We loved attending and supporting her. If my girls turn out like her I would be a happy Mom. We spent our morning at a local amusement park for Two Fish's office party so we had to do a quick change in order to make it to the recital. Busy, fun day.

The Pianist

Red Fish playing the piano for her little cousins. They like to dance and play along.

Red Fish played in a piano competition. She did a great job and got a good score. I don't know if it is something she will pursue but she wanted to give it a try.
