Soccer Season

One of Red Fish's favorite things is soccer season.

We go to all of her games and cheer her on.
You can see my Dad behind her. Red Fish likes to have someone next to her when she is in the goal box. Mostly we just have to remind her to watch the ball since she is a daydreamer.

Cute Soccer Player

The girls are allowed to choose one activity at a time.  Red Fish still loves soccer.  Fall soccer is beautiful and warm.  She is on a all girls team this year since they split the genders after kindergarten.  She is the only little girl her age from our neighborhood who is still interested in soccer.  She is a little sad none of her friends are on her team but she is making new friends. They have referees and they play on a much bigger field now.  The game has gotten a bit more intense. Red Fish makes a very cute little gap toothed soccer player.

Spring Soccer

Soccer season has begun. Thus far it has been freezing, rained mud, blown sand and snowed. Gotta love Spring soccer. New Fish is still not sure if she is very interested in soccer but she likes being part of a team. Red Fish loves soccer.  She made two goals tonight and was thrilled. Come watch soccer in the Fall.  The weather is friendlier in the Fall. We are freezing.

Soccer Starts

Little New Fish is thrilled to join a soccer team this season.  She has been waiting for this.  She is the tiniest one on the field but she is pretty fast (when she remembers that she is supposed to run after the ball.)  Her team was a crack up.  They scored on their own goal and ran around like little maniacs.  This age is so fun to watch.  She did actually dribble the ball up and down the field several times so I thought that was pretty impressive (considering she is my offspring.)

Red Fish says that soccer is her very favorite thing.  She doesn't care if they are winning or losing (or even notice one way or the other.)  She just loves running around with her team. We are at the field for double the time now so I guess we will be having a lot of picnics for dinner and eat between games.  I'm a total soccer mom now.  Our schedule is insane and I'm wondering what I've done to myself but I guess they will only get to be kids once.  They love to be busy and if they aren't doing soccer, piano, swimming or school they are outside with their friends riding bikes or playing some sort of very involved imaginary game.  There is never a dull moment
