If you haven't noticed I've gotten back into reading quite a bit. My brain was feeling mushy from lack of education in the last couple years. I am currently reading Hell's Angels: A Strange and Terrible Saga (Modern Library) by Hunter S. Thompson as well as Paradise Lost (Norton Critical Editions) by John Milton. Quite the mix, I know. I also have a huge stack of books waiting for me on my nightstand and waiting to be picked up at the library.
The Rest of the Chronicles of Narnia (I haven't finished the last three books yet.)
Of Mice and Men
Catcher In the Rye
Catch 22
Slaughter House Five
Crime And Punishment
Confessions of A Shopaholic
The Fall
Any suggestions for the rest of the summer? I hate Oprah's book club- every book I've ever read that happened to be on it- I always hated. I'm also not a fan of any sort of romance novel. I like classics, fun reads, and art books.

I'd say get to the rest of Narnia before the others. I've read all of those but Confessions of a Shopaholic and none are as good as the rest of Narnia. The Horse and his Boy was my favorite. Hutch and I just finished Paradise Lost. It was amazing, but really thick. Not really an easy summer read.
(We also really liked Catcher in the Rye, and I have finished Catch 22 yet)
Of Mice and Men was a tough one for me but, you'll like it. Crime and Punishment... way good and I have on my nightstand waiting for me, Confessions of a Shopaholic too!
that list of books remind me of a school reading list for the summer... well most of them.
If you want really easy quick read try "the giver" that was my favorite in 6th grade =)
