Musings of a mother/scuba instructor/graphic designer/musical entrepreneur. Totally in love with my husband (Two Fish) of ten years. We have two beautiful daughters (Red Fish and New Fish) and a nutty dog (Blue Fish) who help make our family complete and completely happy. W have learned to expect the unexpected and are always up for an adventure.
I am enthusiastic about living and learning. I love people who make me laugh. I have an ironic appreciation for the unique and absurd. I am an enthusiastic and untalented tap dancer with a love for new Christmas ornaments, art, the outdoors, the water, music, good books, skiing, and travel. My greatest calling in life is to be a Mom. I LOVE it!
One of Red Fish's favorite things is soccer season.
We go to all of her games and cheer her on.
You can see my Dad behind her. Red Fish likes to have someone next to her when she is in the goal box. Mostly we just have to remind her to watch the ball since she is a daydreamer.
Every year we go to the gardens at Thanksgiving point to see the tullips. This year we took our sketch books and did some drawing. Scott was busy with the camera so he isn't in any of the pictures. It was a glorious day outside.
Because Red Fish was in the state level competition for Reflections this year- her sculpture is in a real art show at The Leonardo . The Spark show opened and we all got to go see her work and tour the museum. Red Fish says she is a real artist now because her work has been in a museum!
The girls are animal lovers so we always go to nearby farms and visit the baby animals in the Spring. For the last few years we have gone to This Is The Place State Park in the Springtime to visit their animals and do the pioneer activities. We went with Lovely L and her kiddos for a lovely afternoon.
We spent conference weekend and Easter at my parent's lake house with my whole family. The cousins did little activities while we watched conference and had so much fun together.
My grandma Mimi gives the kids a new stuffed bunny every year for Easter. She did it when I was a kid too.
We dyed eggs
And made Easter crafts
The girls got Easter baskets from the Easter bunny with Beanie boos in them. My kids are obsessed with Beanie Boos. The bunnies that Mimi got them this year were even beanie boos.
Red Fish is very interested in science. She loves to read National Geographic readers and she is always asking to do experiments. We have been on a streak lately of doing a ton of experiments including soaking the shell off a raw egg with vinegar and making the egg squishy. Gross but fun.
