The Birthday Bash

This year I decided to throw one big birthday party for both New Fish and Red Fish.  They have so much overlap in their friends and even when I limit it to friends from the neighborhood, their guest lists tend to be enormous. So we decided on a backyard Halloween Carnival.  We had carnival style games with prizes including corn hole, ring toss, eyeball ping pong toss, plinko, a spider throwing game and that game where you knock down the cans. We had monster pumpkin and bookmark decorating stations, musical chairs and witches brew. The kids were invited to come in disguise and simon says, limbo and the swingset took up the extra time. It was two hours or chaos and crazy.  We also had a visit from Elsa from Frozen.

New Fish is JEM (an 80s cartoon rockstar. Her costume was made by Lovely N- she is awesome like that.)

Limbo with Elsa- how low can you go?

Two Fish and I made dry ice root beer for the first time.  It tasted fun but turned out clear? The kids declared it witch's Sprite.

Two Fish was a great sport and wore the Ragedy Andy costume to match my Ragedy Ann.  My grandmother made these costumes and my grandparents wore them 40 or 50 years ago. Two Fish was not that thrilled with this costume but fear not, the photo has been posted with permission.
