First Snow Of The Season

We had our first big snowstorm of the season.  It happened to be on the day Red Fish had her first field trip.  Her bus was an hour late coming home from the children's museum because of all of the snow.  I'm going to miss riding bikes outside and sitting in the sun but the kids are already in love with the snow.  They have been asking to ski for six months.  Hopefully the mountains will get enough snow soon.

Blue Fish loves the snow almost as much as the girls do.  His favorite winter activity is having snow thrown up in the air so he can catch it in his mouth.  He likes it even better than catching bubbles in the summer.
We went to an amazing live nativity the other night.  There were 6000 people in line so we had to wait for two and a half hours but I think it was worth the extra time.  It had a whole marketplace and inn, camels and wise men and even the Christ child was a real sleeping baby. I'm curious how often they have to switch the baby out for another slumbering infant. It was a wonderful way to start off the season.

I was thinking of going to the nativity up there all week, but never made it due to the cold temperatures. I'm always glad to hear how successful it is though so they will hopefully do it for many years to come. Two and a half hours is a long time to wait for sure! Keep enjoying the snow!
