Family Party

New Fish had a bit of a week long party extravaganza this year.  She shares a birthday with Bockum so we all decided to pack up and take the party to Grandma and Bockum this year.  We had a great time at a park with a splash pad eating and talking and playing.  It will be a lasting memory for all of us for sure and a special time to celebrate with family.

Grandma Dinner

We always decorate and have a special dinner for the birthday guest of honor at our house.  This year we had dinner with the grandmas (minus one but we saw her the next weekend.)

Even Bluefish the dog celebrated with us.  Doesn't he look thrilled?

Cowgirl Party

Our sweet and sassy New Fish is turning four.  She had some of her friends (and many of the invites were lost in the mail so this isn't even everyone she wanted to be there) over for a hoedown.  We went to a local farm for a cowgirl party.  New Fish is pretty in to dressing herself these days so she picked herself a "cowgirl outift." We played games, painted faces, pet and fed animals, went on a wagon ride and rode horses.  I would call it a huge success.

Biking With Thing 1

Bikes are a big deal around here.  The kids are out there zipping up and down the street (sidewalk) every day.  I love to watch them.  Today Thing 1 was out there running the tricycle as hard as he could trying to keep up like one of the big kids.

Anniversary Trip

For our 10th anniversary, Two Fish and I escaped to Mauii for a week.  We had quite a collection of people watching the kids in order to make it possible.  It was a much needed break from the world.  We hiked, we read on the beach.  We swam in the pool and in the ocean.  We swang in a hammock under the stars and went out to dinner every night.  We hiked and went to the seven sacred pools and the top of the volcano (Haleakala National Park.)  We did a couple of terrible shore dives and we relaxed. The timing couldn't have been better.

It didn't occur to us that it would be cold someplace in Hawaii so we were the morons at the top of the volcano in wet bathing suits when everyone else was bundled up in coats and hats.  It was a meorable trip with the love of my life.  I'm so lucky to have him and our little family.
